2011 Germany NEWCAST International Foundry Exhibition

From June 28 to July 2, 2011, our company successfully participated in the NEWCAST International Foundry Exhibition and the WFO (World Foundry Organization) Technical Forum in Germany. The exhibition was organized by Messe Düsseldorf and is held every four years. It is currently the largest international foundry exhibition in the world, covering an area of over 180,000 square meters, with more than 2,400 exhibitors participating and over 74,000 professional visitors from 69 countries and regions around the world attending the exhibition. Among them, the exhibition area for Chinese equipment, materials, and foundry manufacturers reached 4,200 square meters, with about 300 participating manufacturers.
From the exhibitors to the visiting audience, a clear phenomenon can be observed: the visitors to the equipment exhibition are mainly from Asia, especially India and China, while the audience visiting the casting exhibition mostly comes from advanced Western countries such as Europe. This at least indicates the decline of foundry in Western countries like Europe, and also reflects the vigorous development of the foundry industry in Asia.
Our company’s booth area is 20 square meters, located next to the NEWCAST organizer. During the busy five days of the exhibition, we had profound exchanges with visitors, exhibitors, and new and old friends regarding molds and casting. Especially in terms of new materials, the application level of foreign mold materials has become very specialized, with a variety of mold materials and processing techniques used for different types of molds. We observed that many shaping line molds have adopted synthetic resin instead of traditional metal manufacturing. This material eliminates the need to manufacture a master mold, allowing for the direct assembly of the required framework for the mold, followed by CNC processing. This material brings speed to mold production, significantly shortening the processing time to meet the urgent product development needs.
During the exhibition, many interested customers visited our company’s booth to inquire about our mold manufacturing situation and discussed cooperation methods with potential future partners. In addition, our booth design is unique, featuring strong Chinese elements, along with many small souvenirs reflecting traditional Chinese culture, which were well received by the visitors. This exhibition has been very fruitful and will bring immeasurable benefits to the company in the short and long term.
